Well, I did it! I won't say I had it done days ago -- honestly, I just finished it Friday, late afternoon, and got the pictures done in the evening (explains the not-so-great lighting), but yes, I made the deadline for the 2nd Reveal of the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party! This is my first time participating in the party - great fun - and while I had plans to do a matching bracelet and earrings (oh, yes, there will be) :) - time ran out on me for those. And so.... (drum roll, please...), here it is -- "Copperline."
My bead soup partner, Mandi E., of Craft-o-licious, provided me with the beautiful focal (snake skin jasper), clasp in copper, large copper rounds, chalcedony rectangles, and jade nuggets. I added carnelian rectangles, red and green aventurine, and red sardonyx rondelles. The reason I was so late in finishing is I ended up really challenging myself with the project and changing the design at the last minute. I had just finished a wire-wrapping class and wanted to try out my new techniques (until this point, I have used beading string for my necklaces). This necklace uses copper wire to match the copper components.
Be sure to jump over to Mandi's site, Craft-o-licious to see what she created with the bead soup I sent to her (I can't wait to see!). And, for spectacular creations, here's the full list of all the second reveals -- take some time to stop by and see a lot of incredible bead soup designs. The 7th Bead Soup Blog Party has 541 participants this time from all over the world -- incredible!

Wow, very sweet work. Love orange! You rocked your soup! Kudos. Kristin Oppold
So classy, love the color combo!
Beautiful! I love the orange color you introduced. Excellent wire work! It is always fun to try new techniques.
I know exactly what you mean about time running out; I seriously have quite a bit left of my soup but I just ran completely out of time o.O
I think the necklace you created is absolutely fabulous! I really like that you challenged yourself; the wire wrapping definitely adds a lot to the piece :)
Oh, and those colors!!
Can't wait to see the matching earrings and bracelet when you're done with them ^.^
very elegant necklace!congrats!
I love how the pale green and oranges work together :)
Very nice. Love the combination of green, orange and copper.
I must say Susan for your first wire piece those are some very nice wrapped loops. You should be exceedingly proud of your gorgeous necklace. Have fun making the coordinating pieces.

Lovely colours, lovely necklace <3
Very pretty and it looks like your class paid off. Your wirework looks very well done.
You might have finished it at the last moment but you have created a masterpiece. Great job on the wire wrapping. I know that once I discovered it I never went back to stringing because I love the look and don't have to worry about those pesky crimps.
What a gorgeous necklace.
Very nice necklace!
great necklace, perfect for summer :)
I'm on the 3rd reveal, I'm partecipating for the 3rd time on BSBP... so much fun!

Very pretty and a great combination of beads/colors!
Your design is so elegant and charming. It's a beautiful piece! :)
Really lovely necklace, the colors are so soft and lovely.
I love that you did the make over. I know it looks better with the copper wire than it would have with the simple bead stringing. It is beautiful.
Great job putting a new skill straight to work! I think it looks just beautiful
i love how you worked those colors together. it has a simple romantic and almost religious quality to it that is wonderful
Ooh, very pretty! The individual links highlight each bead so nicely, and I'll bet they help the necklace hang and move beautifully. Good work!
I just love this necklace! Wonderful stones, beautifully wire-wrapped!
Thanks for visiting my third reveal!
Best wishes,
Anna
